Introduction to Encaustic is a one-day event held at Carrie Goller’s personal art studio, located on the picturesque Hood Canal (just a few miles north of her gallery in Historic Downtown Poulsbo, WA.) In this semi-private class of no-more than 3 students, Carrie will teach the beginning basics of the ancient art form known as encaustic - painting with beeswax. Pulling from over 20 years of personal experience working with encaustic, Carrie will teach and inspire you to create a beautiful finished project that you will go home with. *Class dates to be determined between parties; classes typically run from 10 am to 3 pm with a short, bring-your-own lunch break. Please note, due to a busy studio practice, Carrie does not teach often, so only a limited number of class dates will be offered.

Carrie's private class was very informative and interesting! She is enthusiastic to teach in-depth painting techniques; how to properly use materials; how to generate painting ideas and how to correctly hang and display your artwork.
Carrie is a warm and caring art instructor who truly cares about the success of her students. She really wants her students to excel by first giving a detailed lesson on how to create a masterpiece from start to finish before painting. Also, she is willing to jump in and help with any challenges that arise during the painting process. In addition, she is very approachable if any questions come up during the lesson or painting portion. Lastly, she is able to help you properly hang your work.
