Artist notes: How I love this drive to my strong, gentle and wise friend, Claudia's studio on Bainbridge Island, where I painted weekly with friends for over ten years.  These days our schedules only allow a monthly gathering, but we do enjoy our holy day - drinking multiple cups of tea in her kitchen while we share the latest; then back out to the cozy studio surrounded by her amazing gardens.
